Did you ever wonder what birds inhabit western Nebraska?
Discover the birds who call western Nebraska home. Soar along as we explore different bird families, uncover fun facts and discover current research being conducted. Amanda Filipi of Wildcat Hills State Park takes her audience on a journey to identify the feathered denizens of the air around us. Before taking her current job with the Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission, Amanda was employed by Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory, so her background in birds of our area is quite extensive. The presentation will be on Saturday, August 29 at 3:00 p.m. in the visitor center at the monument.
This is the last program of the summer in the Guest Speaker Series. Next summer, look for an exciting new series of presentations on Saturday afternoons starting in early June.
