Summer & Fall ProgramsHistoric Houses TourThis one hour tour visits the Derby House and Narbonne House. It is limited to 8 people and reservations are required. Reserve your spot the day of at the Salem Armory Visitor Center (2 New Liberty St) or by calling 978-740-1650. The History of Slavery at Salem MaritimeOn this one hour walking tour, participants will examine sites and primary sources to learn about the lives of enslaved people and newly freed people of African descent living in Salem during the 18th century. This tour also examines the ties between New England merchants (like Richard & Elias Hasket Derby) and slave plantations of the West Indies. Open House ProgramsMeet Park Rangers and Volunteers during open house hours at Friendship of Salem, Pedrick Store House, the Custom House, and the Narbonne House. Year Round ProgramsEducation ProgramsStudents of all ages are invited to participate in curriculum-based education programs!
