In celebration of Founders Day we will be extending the hours of visitation at the Iron Works House. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 6th, the house will be open to walk through on your own. There will be park rangers on site to answer questions. We will also be offering a guided House Tour at 3:45 PM.
The house was originally constructed in the 17th century, and restored by Wallace Nutting in the 1910's. Inside you will find exhibits about Wallace Nutting's preservation efforts, colonial architecture, and displays of reproduction period furniture.
