Tucson, AZ – Saguaro National Park will be joining national park units across the country in celebrating Veterans’ Day with fee-free entry into the park. The staff and partners would like to take a moment to honor the men and women who have served bravely and done something extraordinary so that we may all enjoy the freedoms we treasure today.
The 417 units of the National Park System preserve and protect many of the country’s most significant scenic and cultural places. Visit www.nps.gov for information on National Park Service battlefields, military parks and historic sites that commemorate the service of American veterans. The fee-free designation applies only to Veterans’ Day –Sunday, November 11.
Park visitors are reminded that the fee-free designation applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping. Visitor centers will have Saguaro Annual Passes, along with Interagency Senior and Annual Passes available for those who wish to purchase them. Active military personnel and their dependents are encouraged to request a free annual pass to all Federal Recreation sites.
Western National Parks Association will be offering a 15% discount on all book and gift sales to all visitors in both of Saguaro National Park's visitor centers on Sunday, November 11th.
