Make a paper boat

A paper boat sitting on a railing with Hyde Street Pier in the background.
THE MARITIME NEWS folded into a boat. BALCLUTHA, moored at Hyde Street Pier, is visible in the background.

We publish a park newspaper called The Maritime News four times a year. On the back page we have an section for kids. In the summer 2012 edition you could cut the newspaper in half and follow the directions on one half and fold the other half into a cool boat (or hat).

Here are the directions if you want to give it a try. Try and use a piece of paper that is 11 inches wide and 17 inches long like The Maritime News. :)
