Registration now open for all 2014 river programs
ST. CROIX FALLS, Wisconsin: Join the National Park Service, in partnership with the St. Croix River Association, for a unique opportunity to explore the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers with a park ranger this summer.
The St. Croix and Namekagon compose the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a national park and one of America's first wild and scenic rivers. This year's ranger guided river programs will help you discover the significance of a place protected as part of the National Park System while exploring the river in a kayak.
The first program is scheduled for May 3.
Birds of a Feather
Celebrate the spring migration with a paddle on the St. Croix River!Join us for a guided kayak program to learn about the return of these summer residents and how the Riverway provides them with such a special habitat. 6 miles, 4 hours. Registration deadline is April 30.

For all programs, kayaks and related equipment, including a personal flotation device, will be provided. A 30-minute paddling instruction and safety session will occur prior to departure and must be attended by all participants. Participants should have previous paddling experience and must be 18 years of age or older. The cost is $35 per person and space is limited to 8 participants.

About the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway
The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a unit of the National Park System, was established by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 1968. It is one of a group of eight rivers in the country which first received this recognition.For 255 miles, the St. Croix and its tributary, the Namekagon, flow through some of the most scenic and least developed country in the Upper Midwest.
