Volunteers Needed to Work along the Namekagon River

ST. CROIX FALLS, Wisconsin: Interested in making a positive impact on the Namekagon River? Want to meet other people who love the river? Do you enjoy helping others connect to nature? If so, consider becoming a volunteer for the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with youth and family programs, help with guided paddles, keep the river clean, join our River Rovers team, staff outreach booths, and explore the river with 4th grade students. To learn more, join us for a volunteer information event at the Namekagon River Visitor Center on Thursday, May 15 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The Namekagon is part of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a national park and one of America's first wild and scenic rivers.

The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a unit of the National Park System, was established by the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 1968. It is one of a group of eight rivers in the country which first received this recognition.For 255 miles, the St. Croix and its tributary, the Namekagon, flow through some of the most scenic and least developed country in the Upper Midwest.
