National parks across the system engaged in a variety of activities to prepare for and celebrate the centennial. Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway was a big part of this effort. Take a look at what we did and join us as the National Park Service enters a new century in 2017!
The scenic and recreational value of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway is bringing veterans together to bond with each other and reflect in a natural setting. Rivers of Recovery, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of Iraq and Afghanistan combat veterans, is working with the Riverway to offer multi-day trips, while park staff organize fishing, camping, and family paddles, all designed to help veterans connect with the rivers.
