VIA Metropolitan Transit

VIA Metropolitan Transit includes two sets of bus routes in San Antonio: VIA routes and VIVA routes. VIA bus routes transport riders throughout the city, with stops every few blocks along bus lines. VIA bus 42 will take you to Mission San José and Mission Concepcion from downtown. VIVA bus routes transport riders to cultural and tourist destinations in the heart of San Antonio. VIVA line 40 carries riders to all four missions at San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. VIVA lines stop only at selected destinations, and there are not scheduled stops at city blocks between cultural destinations.

Taxis

Taxis are available for trips to all four missions. From downtown to the southernmost mission, Mission Espada, is approximately 11 miles.
