Junior Ranger Campers

Experience the sights and sounds of Rock Creek Park

Registration for all 2018 camps begins May 17!
All camps are for kids 7-11

Astronomy Camps: Astronomy Camps: Astronomy Camp will further camper's understanding of and appreciation for astronomy and the night sky. Activities will include hands-on activities, planetarium programs, completing a special Dark Sky Junior Ranger booklet, stargazing session, and more.
Friday, July 13 (from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Friday, August 10 (from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)

Two Day Junior Ranger Camps: This Junior Ranger Camp serves as a general introduction for children to nature and history at Rock Creek Park. Campers will enjoy a nature hike, an astronomy program in the planetarium, see what lives in the creek, visit historic Peirce Mill, complete arts and crafts, and more.

Wednesday, July 25 - Thursday, July 26 (from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.)
Wednesday. August 8 - Thursday, August 9 (from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

Come prepared

Bring a backpack to carry all your stuff

Water or a sports drink to stay hydrated

Snacks and a bag lunch to stay energized

Hiking boots or tennis shoes for healthy feet (no sandals or flip-flops)

Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses are highly recommended because it's sunny in D.C.
