    · International Migratory Bird Day & Kids to Parks Day - 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    · Beginning Birders’ Walk - 9:00 a.m. at the Nature Center -Learn to identify birds through site and sound. Discover why migratory birds choose Rock Creek park as a stopover on their long seasonal journey. Ages 5 and older. (1 hr.)
    · Does Color Matter? - 10:00 a.m.-12 noon at the Nature CenterMale and females look different for many species of birds. Explore the causes of some of these differences, and color your own pair of birds. Ages 4-10. (Drop-in program.)
    · Animals of the Night Sky - 1:00 p.m. in the Planetarium - We will blend nature and  astronomy as we discover animal constellations and learn star stories about animals. We also will examine how animals use the night to migrate, survive, and thrive. Ages 5+.
