In June 1864, the armies of Generals William T. Sherman and Joseph E. Johnston clashed in a brutal contest just 20 miles north of downtown Atlanta. This weekend, we will celebrate and remember the sacrifice and resolve of both sides during this fierce battle. Come join us for artillery and infantry demonstrations, a 19th century civilian exhibit, as well as various guided hikes. Admission is free, and events are open to the public. Hikes and demonstration will be cancelled in the case of severe weather. Please bring water and appropriate attire for hike. For more information, please contact Visitor Center at 770-427-4686, ext. 0.
