Hawaiian Polynesian Plants Tour

    Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park presents Hawaiian and Polynesian Plants, a one hour guided tour. Learn stories of traditional Hawaiian culture and the plants that support it.
        
    Peter Van Dyke, manager of Amy B.H. Greenwell Ethnobotanical Garden in Captain Cook (currently closed to the public) will guide these tours, giving him a chance to share his valuable knowledge of Hawaiian and Polynesian plants with the public.

    Sunday, April 23rd from 10:00-11:00 AM  (April 23rd is a Fee Free Weekend)
    Sunday, July 30th from 10:00-11:00 AM

    Please bring close-toed shoes, a water bottle (water refill station available), wide-brimmed hat and sun protection. Meet at the Visitor Center, no registration is required, entrance fees apply.
     
    Where: Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park – In Hōnaunau, South Kona on Hwy 11, south of mile marker 104, take Hwy 160 for three miles, turn left on Ke Ala o Keawe Rd., proceed to park entrance.
