The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board presents the 12th Annual Valley Forge Revolutionary 5-mile Run ® to be held on Sunday April 23, 2017. Sign up for this challenging race that winds through scenic Valley Forge National Historical Park.
This is a USATF sanctioned race. Race proceeds benefit Valley Forge NHP, its trails, and programs. The event also includes a 3-mile walk and 1.776 km youth fun run. The Revolutionary Run Event is a fun way for the entire family to get out and get active!
Please note the following road closures on this day:
+ The main entrance at the intersection of PA-23 and North Gulph road will close at 8:15 a.m. right before the main race starts
+ County Line road will close at 8:30 a.m. as runners take off
+ Gulph road will close at 8:30 a.m. as well
+ All interior park roads like North and South Outer Line drive as well as all of Inner Line drive will close at 8:30 a.m.
+ The Von Steuben / Varnum's Quarters parking lot will be closed at 8:30 a.m.
The main entrance and County Line road will re-open at 9:45 a.m. Any visitor parking in the Visitor Center parking lot before 8:30 a.m. will not be able to exit until this time. All other roads and parking areas will open at 11:00 a.m. Please be aware of participants still on the course.
We encourage visitors to plan their arrival to the Visitor Center for after 9:45 a.m. re-opening. Note that Washington's Headquarters will open at 9:00 a.m. The Chapel, Wilson Road, Knox, River Trail, and Betzwood Parking lots will be open at normal hours.
