    NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN PROGRAM AND POSSUM LEGEND!

    Join National Park Service Naturalist, Jerry Hightower for a campfire, guided hikes, and a beautiful autumn evening with the glow of the Hunter’s Moon overhead. Roast marshmallows over an open fire, and walk along a moonlit forest trail. Discover interesting facts about the Native Americans that once called the Chattahoochee River Corridor their home. Enjoy and perhaps participate in the creative portrayal of a Cherokee Legend*. Learn the Cherokee’s river song. Receive a complimentary Chattahoochee River Journal with wildlife lists and paw prints. Enjoy the campfire, the moon light, and the nocturnal sights and sounds of the Chattahoochee.

    Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on a forest trail. A jacket will help if the night has a chill. Do not forget your flashlight.
