The new Archaeology Merit Badge program was very attractive to local scouts.  On six different days 106 scouts and adult leaders participated in the program.  The scout had a busy day filled with many activities including a hands-on mock dig, learning the old skill of black powder cartridge making, dressing in typical French and Indian War uniforms, viewing the park's archaeological artifacts and, of course, a tour of the reconstructed fort.

Many of these local scouts had not visited the park before.  It was nice to attract them and their adult leaders to Fort Necessity for a fun and educational day.
