A Master Junior Ranger program was field tested with 16 fourth- and fifth-grade students from North Elementary, Cedar City, Utah. The in-depth program guided students through field and classroom experiences in five learning modules:  geology, flora, fauna, weather, and human history. Pre- and post-evaluations were conducted to improve program content and delivery.

Approximately 600 students participated in field trips to Cedar Breaks National Monument in FY12. Students learned about geology and wildlife while experiencing views of the geologic amphitheater and hiking through subalpine forests and meadows.
