The Tsongas Industrial History Center, a partnership between Lowell National Historical Park and the UMASS Lowell Graduate School of Education, hosted two successful National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Inventing America: Lowell and the Industrial Revolution Teacher Workshops June 28 through July 1 and July 17 thru 22. More than 69 teachers attended from 34 classroom teachers in attendance representing 26 states including two teachers from Hawaii. Staff also hosted 17 Science Teachers during a Museum Institute for Teaching Science (MITS) Program that included a one-week workshop, follow up visits, and an on-line component.
