Note: The August 11 workday has been rescheduled to August 18.

Help park staff restore native plant communities, maintain the balance of local ecosystems, and prevent the spread of harmful invasive species by removing Scotch broom from rangeland in Point Reyes National Seashore.

Work days are scheduled on select Sundays from May to September, 2013. Participants meet at 9 am at the Bear Valley Visitor Center. Work days usually last 4 hours, generally from 9 am to 1 pm., however work times may be extended according to volunteer availability.

Volunteers should bring sturdy shoes, lunch, sunscreen, and hats. The park provides gloves and tools.

Please confirm your attendance before 5 pm on the Thursday immediately preceding the Sunday workday or apply under the Current Opportunities listing. To confirm attendance and to request more information, contact John Swenson at 415-464-5121 or by email. If fewer than four volunteers confirm participation, the workday will be cancelled.
