National Park Service Announces Settlement Agreement with Drakes Bay Oyster Company
The National Park Service today announced the joint filing of a settlement agreement and proposed consent decree that, if approved by the U.S. District Court, would end litigation with Drakes Bay Oyster Company that has been ongoing since December 2012.

The National Park Service has released the Public Comment Analysis Report for the Drakes Bay Oyster Company Special Use Permit Environmental Impact Statement. The report presents analysis and summary of public comment, and includes more than 4,000 pieces of correspondence submitted during the 50 day comment period.

Deadline for Initial Public Comment on the Drakes Bay Oyster Company Special Use Permit EIS Extended to November 26, 2010
On Saturday, November 20, a power outage in the Fort Collins, CO, offices of the NPS Natural Resource Program Center shut down servers for the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment web site for approximately 18 hours. As a result, people were unable to access the site and provide comments during that time on all NPS projects open for public comment, including the Point Reyes National Seashore Drakes Bay Estero Oyster Company Special Use Permit EIS.
