Extreme low and high tides in early June; elderberries and blackberries; great blue herons hunting gophers; rattlesnake grass; goats are back at D Ranch; information about Memorial Day weekend; Memorial Day service at the U.S. Life-Saving Service cemetery; part of the Point Reyes Beach is closed on weekends and federal holidays to better protect nesting snowy plovers.

Eta Aquarid meteor shower; transit of Mercury; fire season begins; exclosures have been installed on the Great Beach to better protect nesting snowy plovers; California Coastal Commission Art and Poetry contest artwork and poems are on display at the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
