Anza Trail Film and Discussion at Old Mission San Jose

Saturday, Jan. 26, 2PM - 3:30PM

Learn about Mission San Jose's place along one of our nation's 19 national historic trails. In 1776, a multi-ethnic group of men, women, and children followed Native American trails north to establish the first European settlement at San Francisco Bay, passing the future site of Mission San Jose on their journey. Our nation commemorates this turning point in the history of the American West as the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail. Join Hale Sargent, park ranger for the Anza Trail, for a showing of the 25-minute film "The Anza Expedition of 1775-76", followed by a discussion of the Anza Trail's living legacy in Arizona and California.
