The Andersonville National Historic Site is partnering with Sumter Cycling, the River Valley Regional Commission, and the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site to host an annual Park-to-Park bike ride from the Andersonville National Historic Site to the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site on April 27, 2013 during National Park Week.
What better way to start off the warm season than with a bike ride through Carter Country to rejuvenate your passion for the open road. The ride will begin at the National Prisoner of War Museum parking lot located at the Andersonville National Historic Site, continuing through historic Downtown Americus, Georgia and on to the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains, Georgia.
Rest stops will be provided along the way and riders of all ages are welcome to participate.
