The program will be held at the Manhattan Project NHP victory garden plots onsite of the Children Museum of Oak Ridge, 461 W. Outer Drive, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. Parking is available at the main lot and access to the Victory Gardens are via the east driveway to the rear of the museum.Dates & Times

Description
Join a park ranger and learn about the origins of victory gardens and their significance during WWII. Victory Gardens were a crucial aspect of the Homefront during World War II, with over 20 million gardens helping with rationing and food shortages.
Have you ever thought of growing your own victory garden? We will cover some basics of gardening preparing you to plant a seed and get started on your own victory garden.
Manhattan Project NHP has grown a victory garden since 2018 to engage with living history of victory gardens in Oak Ridge. The produce is donated to the community in Oak Ridge.
