Description

Timucuan Preserve is offering special socially-distanced activities through-out the week to get you out into the park you love, while keeping everyone safe.

We will be offering Take and Make craft kits for kids from our visitor centers at Fort Caroline National Memorial and Kingsley Plantation. You can earn a Junior Ranger badge on Junior Ranger Day, April 24, at those locations as well.

Several special activity trails will be temporarily set up. Join the Storybook trail at Fort Caroline as the loop Hammock Trail gets new signs telling a classic story as you wander through the woods.

Over at Theodore Roosevelt Area you can celebrate Gopher Tortoise Day on April 10, the whole month long, as informational signs on this keystone species show you the many sides of this gentle reptile.

All activities are free and can be completed in separate family units or small groups.

Look to our Facebook page for World Migratory Bird Day videos to cap off the week on April 24, 2021.
