Historic Weekend Grand Parade
Park Rangers, War of 1812 re-enactors, Re-enactor representing other American Wars, American Legion Post #542, dignitaries, military guests, four high school bands, and 1,200 Boy Scouts will march through downtown Put-in-Bay on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
The Grand Parade begins at 2:15 pm when it departs Concord Avenue. The parade route turns right onto Catawba Avenue, then right onto Delaware Avenue in the heart of the downtown district. The parade turns left on Toledo Avenue, passes in front of the park's Visitor Center, and then turns right onto Bay View Avenue stopping in the area of the park's flag poles.
Four high school bands representing Genoa, Eastwood, Anthony Wayne and Clyde will play a selection of patriotic songs before performing the National Anthems of Great Britain, Canada and the United States.
