The Calumet Keweenaw Sportsmen’s Club, in partnership with the Keweenaw National Historical Park, Hanka Homestead Finnish Museum, and the National Park Foundation, is hosting a Fishing Discovery at Hanka Homestead Finnish Museum followed by a Fish with a Ranger Event at the Otter Lake Boat Launch! Join us at Hanka Homestead for a morning of Finnish culture and an afternoon of hands-on fishing!
The Fishing Discovery event at Hanka Homestead will focus on the importance of fish and fishing in Finnish culture throughout history. Join us at this beautiful and historic site for an hour of fantastic Finnish fishing facts!
Afterwards, join Keweenaw NHP staff for a Fish with a Ranger event at the Otter Lake Boat Launch! Fish with a Ranger events are a great opportunity for children to get hands-on fishing experience and learn how to fish with an experienced angler.
The Fish with a Ranger event will begin at 10:00am at Hanka Homestead and will go until 11:00am. At 11:30am, meet Keweenaw NHP staff at the Otter Lake Boat Launch for the Fish with a Ranger event, which will end at 12:30pm.
