Description
Surfcasting is a popular pastime on Fire Island’s ocean beaches, have you tried it? After an introduction to fish, gear and local regulations, you can practice your surf casting technique using your own gear or borrow one of our rigs (supply is limited). Please bring a valid NYS Recreational Marine Fishing Registry card for anyone 16 or older, available for free through the NYS DEC website.
We ask the public to be our partner in recreating responsibly. Participants will be asked to follow CDC and local public health guidelines for COVID-19.
