Glory For George: Ceremony Honoring Pvt. George Washington Dugan

Minute Man National Historical is excited to partner with the Town of Concord and other local organizations to honor Concord local, Pvt. George Washington Dugan, killed while storming Battery Wagner in July 1863. 

The ceremony will start at Monument Square in Concord for a few appropriate remarks before a procession 1/4th mile to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery for the unveiling of a monument in his memory.

George served in the 54th Massachussets Volunteer Infantry, one of the first Black regiments to see combate in the American Civil War.
