From lighting a house to memorials, candles have played a role in the the lives of Cajun and Creole people. Candle stories have been an inspiration in some Cajun songs as well.

Light has determined the rhythms of life around the world for centuries. Come on by to learn more about the history of making light in Acadiana.and the history of Cajuns in World War II.

Join us for this special pop-up program and make a small candle to commemorate Memorial Day.
