This short and sweet 1.5-mile hike follows a dry, dirt trail down to the flowing Las Vegas Wash, and is a great spot for birding enthusiasts or any interested in finding a relaxing location to listen to the water as they take in the views. Visitors can see where the water from the Las Vegas Valley dispenses into Lake Mead, shaping the landscape through erosion.

Remember heat kills, be summer-smart and opt to hike when temperatures are cooler.
