The Westside Preserve protects and preserves a little more than half a mile of rocky beaches and adjoining headlands just to the South of the Deadman Bay Preserve and Limekiln Point State Park. Visitors can walk amongst its rocky bluffs which feature wildflowers, tremendous views of the Haro Strait, and a well preserved prairies. Whales are often seen in the waters below the preserve, so keep your eyes peeled when you visit. A private residence lies between the two sides of the preserve so please respect their privacy when you walk its mile of trails. The three parking areas for this preserve often fill up so please arrive early and don’t park in ways that endanger yourself or obstruct traffic.
