Starting at the southeast of the Katherine Landing launch ramp, this easy 1.9 mile trail offers majestic views of Lake Mohave, Newberry Mountains and of Spirit Mountain (5639 ft.), known as Avi Kwa' Ame in Mojave, the highest peak in the region and the center of creating for all Yuman speaking tribes. There is an impressive sand dune where opportunities for viewing local critter tracks are plentiful. The trail ends when you come out of the mesquite trees and arrow weed and find the sandy beach at Ski Cove.
