The Dorchester County Visitor Center is on the shore of the Choptank River in Cambridge, Maryland and serves as a major entry point to the lower Eastern Shore. Situated off U.S. Route 50, the building is known for its distinct appearance with a large white sail shading the building. As a regional information center, the site helps visitors learn about the history of the area as well as the Chesapeake Bay and the best places to visit nearby.

In addition to brochures and regional information, the site provides direct access to the Choptank waterfront and historic Cambridge. Native plantings, shoreline stability efforts and outdoor signage also helps visitors learn about the Chesapeake Bay restoration effort and ways to become better stewards of the outdoors.
