The bluffs of volcanic rock atop Cerro de la Jara provides excellent views across the Valle Grande. While there are no trails that lead to the overlook itself, visitors are allowed to trek upwards from the La Jara trail to reach the viewpoint. 

Visitors are to take care in not disturbing the natural resources upwards towards the rocks. There are prarie dog holes and vegetation covering the terrain.
