In addition, park rangers are staffing the "Ranger Roost", an outdoor information desk open from 10 am to 4 pm daily, at the Roaring Springs Overlook Kiosk, just north of the Visitor Center, on the canyon side of the main parking lot. The Information desk and the Park Store will be open through October 15, thenboth will close for the season.
The Norh Rim Visitor Center and Park Store offers visitors to the North Rim a chance to ask questions, plan trips, prepare for hikes, and learn about the canyon's unique resources. Purchases help fund new exhibits, scientific research, trail restoration, wildlife monitoring, ecological restoration, support for the arts, Junior Ranger and education programs, and historic building preservation.

Restrooms are located behind the Store/Visitor Center building, and are open 24 hours, except mid-day for cleaning. Use restrooms in the west side of Grand Canyon Lodge during this time.
