Wilderness Canoe Expedition

Meet at Little Beaver Campground boat launch

10 am - 2 pm

(Program dates: June 30, July 14, July 28, August 18, September 1, September 15)

Enjoy a free canoe trip with a ranger on a beautiful inland lake within the Beaver Basin Wilderness. Be ready to paddle and take a quick hike to one of the least-visited beaches in the park.

Family Beach Day

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Summer is here! Head to the beach for family story time, play active games, and create a craft. Whether you have 15 minutes or a few hours, bring your family and enjoy the beach!

Dune Hike

Meet at the Sable Falls parking area

2:30 pm

Discover the wonders of our rich dunelands during this 2/3 mile walk. Explore one of the least traveled and most scenic trails of the park.

Black Bears of Pictured Rocks

Meet at 12 Mile Beach Campground Amphitheater

7:00 pm

Explore the life of the black bears at Pictured Rocks. What do they really like to eat? When are they the most active? What can you do to keep your campsite safe from bears? How many bears live at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore?
