Beginning on Sunday, June 16, Pea Ridge National Military Park will reopen on Sundays and the two remaining federal holidays of Fiscal Year 2013.
"We are able to do this because of a reallocation of funding within the National Park Service" said Superintendent John Scott."The additional money only allows us to reopen the park on Sundays and the two holidays, it is not enough to allow for the maintenance of trails or provide for the same level of visitor services as we did last year" Scott said.
The park grounds will be open 7 days a week with summer hours of 6 AM to 9 PM and the visitor center will be open from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Days and hours of operation will run through September 30, 2013.
