The Guam Chamorros were loyal to the United States and because of this they had been forced by the Japanese to perform labor, haul ammunition, dig defensive caves and build their bunkers. In retaliation for their loyalty to the United States, the Chamorro people suffered torture, rape, and death at the hands of the Japanese.

Today, the some of the survivors of those atrocities have forgiven the ones who did those terrible acts, but their actions will never be forgotten.
