Acknowledgements

The writer wishes to gratefully acknowledge the help of all those who aided in the preparation of material contained in this issue of Mount Rainier National Park "Nature Notes". Particular mention should be made of the cooperation rendered by Dr. T. C. Frye, Department of Botany, University of Washington and Dr. G. N. Jones, also of the Department of Botany, University of Washington. Mr. Charles Landes, ranger-naturalist in Mount Rainier National Park for many summer seasons, who collected many of the plants in our park herbarium; Professor J. B. Flett who, when a park ranger (1913-1921), made the first official studies of the local flora and who collected the rare Sierra Water or Stream fern in 1929; Mr. Fred Warren, whose extensive botanizing of the park while a temporary park ranger (1926-1933), also deserve special mention.

It must also be stated that many of the books listed in the bibliography were of great aid in the preparation of this material. Particular mention must be made of Dr. Frye's "Ferns of the Northwest". (C.F.B.)
