FORT LARNED Master Plan

At present, there are no immediate plans to utilize solar- or wind-generated energy systems. However, since the Site, as well as the surrounding area, is subject to high incidence of clear sunny days and average daily wind speeds of 11 mph, the potential for this energy cannot be ignored. Whenever planning for development of maintenance or other support facilities is initiated, the feasibility of these energy generating sources will be considered.
