DEFINITIONS
| Permanent Resident: | A bird found in the same territory throughout the year. |
| Summer Resident: | A bird found throughout the summer and (at least presumably) breeding. |
| Winter Resident: | A bird found throughout the winter. |
| Summer Visitant: | A bird occurring during the summer, but not breeding. |
| Winter Visitant: | A bird occurring irregularly during the winter. |
| Migrant: | A bird, unless otherwise noted, occurring only in the spring or fall or both. |
| Abundant: | Seen daily in large numbers. |
| Common: | Seen daily, but in restricted numbers. |
| Fairly Common: | Frequently observed. |
| Uncommon: | Infrequently observed. |
| Rare: | Three or less records for the area. |
