Introduction

The National Mall and Memorial Parks (NAMA) general collections encompass natural and cultural resources such as the D.C. War Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, World War II Memorial, and over 150 major named historic parks, squares, circles and triangles, as well as natural resources on the mall and around the Tidal Basin.

Collection Summary

National Mall and Memorial Park’s (NAMA) general museum collection is an all encompassing collection consisting of both cultural and natural artifacts and specimens significant to the park lands. The general museum collection includes objects and specimens from the many units and property managed under National Mall and Memorial Parks. All park land is managed under this museum collection except for the Washington Monument, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Ford’s Theatre National Historic Site, and the Lightship Chesapeake.
