National NAGPRA

Section 10 of the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to makes grants to museums, Indian tribes, and Native Hawaiian organizations for the purpose of assisting in consultation, documentation, and repatriation of Native American "cultural items", including human remains, funerary objects, sacred objects, and objects of cultural patrimony. Two types of grants are available –Consultation/Documentation Grants and Repatriation Grants. Learn more about NAGPRA Grants
