Landscape Preservation Maintenance Plans

Historic property managers recognize the importance of maintenance in preserving the character of cultural landscapes. Cultural landscape preservation maintenance plans have proven to be an effective tool for integrating preservation goals with traditional landscape maintenance operations. These plans describe the practice of monitoring change, improving condition, replacing original materials in-kind, and minimizing disturbance to the landscape. Prepared to address site-specific management needs, each plan is individually developed to document maintenance objectives, provide technical information, and guide field operations to preserve the historic character and authenticity of the cultural landscape.
