This history is studying the changing relationship between humans and nature through time at San Juan Island National Historical Park. The goal of the pro-ject is to produce a historical narrative that provides the context for environmental change in the park and surrounding landscape. The study will aid in park management by bringing a fresh perspective to the history of the park and by yielding insights into the condition of park resources.
