Alt Text Map of Frederick Law Olmstead National Historic Site in Brookline, Massachusetts. A recommended walking route is shown in blue against streets shown in gray. The historic site is light green, and a dark green line represents the MBTA-Riverside D Green Line along the top edge of the map. Extended Description The Frederick Law Olmstead National Historic Site is a trapezoidal shaped park in the bottom left quadrant of the map. It is lined by Warren Street to the east and Dudley Street and Fairmount Street, which make a loop at the northwest corner. The oval-shaped Brookline Reservoir is northwest of the park under State Route 9, also labeled Boylston Street, which cuts across the map roughly across the center. Boylston Street continues “To Interstate 95 and State Route 128, 5 miles (8 kilometers)” off the left edge of the map and “To US Route 1, 1 mile (2 kilometers)” and “To Downtown Boston, 5 miles (8 kilometers)” to the right. The blue walking route starts in the historic site and heads north along Warren Street, where it ends at a dot marked “MBTA 60 Bus stop” on Boylston Street. Sumner Road, shown in gray, continues past Boylston Street to cross the MBTA-Riverside D Green Line. North of the park, another blue path branches off of Warren Street to travel east along Walnut Street, south of and parallel to Boylston Street. The path then turns north on Cypress Street to end at the Brookline Hills Subway Station on the MBTA-Riverside D Green Line in the top right quadrant of the map. Legend A scale in the top left corner of the map measures distances of 0.1 and 0.2 kilometers and 0.1 and 0.2 miles. A blue line below is labeled “Recommended walking route from bus and subway.”
