Extended Description

Most of the Mojave Desert is located in Southern California near its borders with Nevada and Arizona. The Sierra Nevada Mountains border the desert in the north. Within the desert is Lake Havasu along the California-Arizona border, and Lake Mohave and Lake Mead along the Nevada-Arizona border. The Colorado River, Virgin River, and Muddy River also pass through the desert.
