Alt Text Map of Pecos National Historical Park in New Mexico. Three park areas are shown in green, the surrounding, craggy terrain in beige, and roads in red. Extended Description Interstate 25 travels from near the lower right corner of the map up and across the terrain, over the Glorieta Mesa that fills most of the bottom half. Interstate 25 leads off the southeast edge of the map “To Las Vegas, NM” and off the western edge “To Santa Fe, NM.” Exit 307 on Interstate 25 is labeled Rowe interchange and leads to State Route 63, which travels north through the rightmost park area and the town of Pecos along the northern border. Interstate 25 and then State Route 63 both parallel the Historic route of the Santa Fe Trail to pass Kozlowski’s Range and Stage Station on the Pecos River before continuing north to the Visitor Center and Pueblo and Mission Ruins Trail in the upper left corner of this park. The historic route of the Santa Fe Trail bulges north over Interstate 25 to run near Glorieta Creek and State Route 50. All three cross through Glorieta Unit (Pigeon’s Ranch), which has limited access and the Civil War Battlefield Trail. Interstate 25 and the historic route of the Santa Fe Trail continue north past the intersection of State Route 50 and Interstate 25 at Exit 299, labeled Pecos-Glorieta interchange. State Route 50 ends slightly west in the town of Glorieta which is just south Glorieta Pass at an elevation of 7,562 feet (2,305 meters). The historic route and Interstate 25 turn southwest past this to brush by the Glorieta Unit (Cañoncito), which has no public access. Legend A scale in the lower left corner of the map measures distances of 1 and 2 kilometers and 1 and 2 miles.
