Alt Text Map of Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield Site in Mississippi. This and three sites are represented with green or black squares interspersed among a web of purple, green, red, and gray roads. Tupelo, shown in yellow, is to the south, and the rest of the map is beige. Extended Description US Route 45 enters the map near the top right corner and runs almost vertically to the bottom edge. The upper half of the highway is red and the lower half, like some other roads, is shown in purple. An arrow alongside US Route 45 at the top of the map is labeled “To Corinth.” Brices Cross Roads National Battlefield is labeled in green text just west of US Route 45 on a short leg of State Route 370. Brice’s Crossroads Visitor and Interpretive Center is labeled in black just southeast of the US Route 45 and State Route 370 intersection. Tupelo is in the bottom right quadrant of the map. Along the northern border is the Parkway Visitor Center (NPS), which is labeled with green text and its location shown with a black square. The visitor center is between US Route 45 and the Natchez Trace Parkway, which is represented in green and cuts across the bottom right quadrant of the map. The eastern end of the parkway continues off the map “To Nashville” and the bottom “To Natchez.” In the heart of town, Tupelo National Battlefield is also labeled in green near a gray road labeled US Route 278 and State Route 6, which leads from Pontotoc near the left edge of the map and ends at US Route 45. Shown in purple, US Route 78 sweeps through from near the top left corner of the map to near the bottom right beyond Tupelo. Another purple arm overlaps a gray line that connects US Routes 45 and 78 in the northwest top of Tupelo. Yellow dots mark the locations of New Albany near the intersection of US Route 78 and the north-south State Route 15 along the left edge of the map and Baldwyn at the end of State Route 370, just past the Brice’s Crossroads Visitor and Interpretive Center. Legend A scale at the bottom left of the map measures distances of 5 and 10 kilometers and 5 and 10 miles.
